Caito Stewart

Ghost Tike is an ongoing performance and installation project by artist Caito Stewart. During the festival, she will perform her mourning ritual of hand making Japanese maple leaves out of paper. Passersby are invited to join in the leaf making, in honor of those they have lost. Participants can keep or contribute their leaves to the project. When exhibited, the ever-growing pile of leaves will spill out of a toddler car which the artist has painted white, as an alternative memorial to her younger brother. To participate in this creative grief ritual remotely or attend an online leaf-making workshop, visit the ‘Ghost Tike’ website.
