This site-specific intervention explores themes of public, private, neglect and redevelopment. Materials and structures used to hide and safeguard real estate are re-configured to reveal spaces existing in an indeterminate zone somewhere between public and private, allowing occupants an opportunity to circumvent the clear and established rules that one agrees to within the familiar public and private spaces. In response to the many disused and vacant spaces in the city that are either fenced off or boarded up as they await approval for demolition or undetermined development, this project attempts to reclaim public space.
