Leslie Bush
This improvisational performance installation explores space, place, and identity. Using sensors, video, and visual effects, Leslie Bush considers how embodiment can extend from a physical body into digital and live spaces. Bush enters a duet with herself, interacting with and responding to visual effects projected in the space controlled by sensors that track and interpret her movement. An additional layer is added when viewers interact with infrared sensors that place them into the projections—space becomes a cathartic experience in a world redefined by COVID. Where does the viewer end, and Leslie begin?
