Marcie Revens
An interactive public artwork that invites residents and visitors to write letters to the neighborhood. It asks the public to share personal stories or memories they have of 125th street. The mailboxes are a destination that can be visited by anyone and encourages one to freely share their stories, or to address current issues surrounding the neighborhood. Anyone walking past the lettering writing stations can interact with the work by reading local history printed on the mailboxes or by writing a letter.

Marcie is a multi disciplinary artist based in New York City. She often explores mnemonic value as it informs everyday relationships between individuals and their immediate communities. She has exhibited her work at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise (New York, NY), Leslie Heller (New York, NY), and No Longer Empty (New York, NY).
