Al Diaz
This Spring-themed installation offers hope during these times of distress. Al Diaz is a TEXT BASED artist whose work uses the constrained alphabet consisting of WET PAINT sign characters and NYC Subway System Icons. The messages in Diaz’s work are usually socially related comments, critiques, and anecdotes, the subject matter always topical and relevant. The work is installed on the Bowery for the street’s historic significance and reference to NYC’s skidrow.
